On July 1, 2025, the Don Bosco Tech Thakurmunda Center hosted a vibrant and insightful parent meeting that brought together trainers, parents, and trainees in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose. Led by experienced trainers Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, and Mrs. Rasmita Behera, the session served as more than just an update—it became a platform for collective growth, awareness, and encouragement.

Designed to strengthen the connection between home and classroom, the meeting allowed parents to gain a deeper understanding of the training their children are receiving and how those skills are shaping them for the future. The conversations were rich with reflections, success stories, and practical insights.

Parents were introduced to the two major skill areas that the center focuses on:

Housekeeping training covers essential techniques including effective cleaning practices, room arrangement, laundry management, hygiene maintenance, and guest service etiquette. These skills are foundational for employment in a range of sectors such as hospitality, healthcare, and domestic services.

Electronic Domestic Solution (EDS) training prepares trainees to maintain and repair common household electrical appliances like fans, irons, mixers, water purifiers, and basic wiring systems. This program opens doors to careers in electronics service centers or even self-employment through small-scale repair businesses.

During the meeting, the trainers shared detailed feedback on each trainee’s academic performance, behavior, attendance, discipline, and practical skill development. They also emphasized the importance of consistent practice and encouraged parents to create an environment at home that supports continued learning.

One of the key highlights of the session was the discussion around future career opportunities. Trainers explained the different pathways available to the trainees upon course completion, including industry placements, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurship. The value of family support in boosting trainee confidence and motivation was a recurring theme throughout the discussion.

Parents expressed their gratitude toward the center, praising the commitment of the trainers and the visible improvement in their children's skills and self-discipline. Many felt proud to see their children gain not only technical knowledge but also a renewed sense of purpose.

The meeting concluded on a positive and encouraging note. Mr. Abhimanyu, Mr. Jagadish, and Mrs. Rasmita thanked the parents for their active involvement and trust in the center. They reiterated that the journey of skill development is most successful when families, trainers, and trainees work hand in hand.

The session ended with light refreshments, giving everyone a chance to connect informally and share experiences. This gathering not only strengthened relationships but also reinforced the shared vision of building a future where every trainee is empowered to succeed—through skills, support, and strong community ties.
