Genesis

The Don Bosco Tech – Vejandla Centre traces its roots to the pioneering healthcare mission of the Society of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (J.M.J.) in India. From the very beginning, the congregation was committed to serving the poor and marginalized through compassionate care. In 1905, a small dispensary was established, marking the humble beginning of the Society's healthcare apostolate. The sisters not only treated the sick but also visited families in their homes, extending care, comfort, and hope to those in need. Despite being unfamiliar with the local Telugu language and customs, the sisters won the trust of the community through their kindness, compassion, and selfless service. Their warm smiles, empathy, and dedication soon drew people from nearby villages seeking care and support. Inspired by this enduring legacy of service, Don Bosco Tech established its Vejandla Centre to empower underprivileged youth through quality skill development and livelihood opportunities. Continuing the mission of transforming lives with compassion and dignity, the centre equips young people with industry-relevant skills, enabling them to secure sustainable employment and build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
