He is the only earning member to support his family including his parents. He barely earns only Rs.3000/- a month even after working hard. Life was turning from bad to worse with no other means of income. Desperation was making his life miserable until he found about the skill training and job opportunity with decent salary provided by Don Bosco Tech, Monsada.

On learning about the BASE program conducted by Don Bosco Tech, Monsada, West Bengal, Kush visited the centre with a ray of hope for his better future. He was very happy to know about the training, other activities, providence of certificate and job placement after completion of the course. He was thoroughly counselled and also took the interest inventory test to understand his interest field. He came back the next day with all the required documents for the admission and got himself enrolled in the 2nd batch of Electrical domain under ABF project.

The BASE training commenced from 11th of April, 2015. By nature he was a shy person and was older amongst his classmates. It took some time to find himself a good friend amongs his fellow trainees. Soon after the training started, he started to face many obstacles during the training. He was weak in his English and was unable to understand nor able to concentrate in his studies. Initially he was also a slow learner and could not score good marks in his examination. However, these obstacles did not deter him to give up the training. Instead, he took the challenges positively and gave his every possible effort; utilize maximum time, infrastructure and guidance of his trainers to move towards his goal to success. He finally overcame his shortcomings and scored good marks during the end of the training. Trainers also never stopped to motivate and encourage him. “I have not touched computer and never spoke in English before. In Don Bosco Tech, I got the opportunity to do so. But more importantly, I learned punctuality, discipline, time management and effective communication skills which helped me a lot in my professional career” says Kush.

Finally, his hard work paid off. Kush completed the 2 months intensive class training with good performance record. Soon after the training, he was offered a job placement at Town Electrical in Bangalore. He joined there on the 22nd of June 2015, with a package of Rs.5500 per month with food & accommodation.

Kush says that he doesn’t want to waste the opportunity as he has got a goal to fulfill in his life and also to earn a good living for his family. He also gave credit for his success to Don Bosco Tech for turning his life to a new chapter. He worked hard and is really happy of who he is today.
