Report on Educational Visit to Mehta Book Fair

On 16th of June, 2026, the Hotel Management students visited the “Pick the Books” Fair organized by Mehta Book Fair in Capital Hall, Darjeeling. The visit was organized to encourage reading habits, broaden students' knowledge, and expose them to a diverse collection of books and educational resources.

During the visit, students explored various sections of the book fair, including literature, general knowledge, self-development, and career-oriented books. They interacted with exhibitors, learned about different genres of books, and gained insights into the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to develop an interest in reading and to recognize books as valuable sources of information and personal growth. Students were encouraged to select books based on their interests and career aspirations. Several students also purchased books of their interest, reflecting their enthusiasm for reading and learning.
