‘Great is the art of beginning but greater is the art of ending,’ goes the saying, befitting to the occasion at Don Bosco Tech (Kokar) as the ISMO Trainees were given farewell on October 19, 2019. There were sixty participants for the program of which twenty-six trainees from the ISMO domain and the rest trainees from other domains, including trainers, state team, the Centre Head and Fr. Noble George, SDB (Principal, Don Bosco Private ITI). 

The day began with the lighting of candles and prayer by Rev. Fr. Noble George. He appreciated the trainees for completing their training successfully. “You must become a spark in the world and never stop from going forward in life,” said Fr. Noble, wishing them fare-well in life ahead. 

Mr. Wakaish Alam (State Coordinator, Don Bosco Tech) shared the basic information about the placement, dos and don’ts at the workplace and the company in which they were being placed. Thereafter, the offer letters were handed over to the trainees. There were colorful programs performed on this day by most of the trainees enthusiastically.  

Everyone at the Centre was elated that the trainees completed their three months of training successfully and are going to work as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, to begin with, and build their career further in the industry, and also support their families financially. It was the day of mixed feelings both happiness and sadness; happy because we were going a step further in life and sad as we were bonded in love during these three months of training and now was the time of parting leaving some sweet memories. One of the trainees said “It’s time to say goodbye but I think goodbyes are sad and I had much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure”. 

Bidding Good-Bye was symbolically done with small gifts to the very trainee and with the quotation of Bill Gates ‘the best known American Entrepreneur’. The event concluded in the afternoon and refreshment was provided to everyone and we danced the cultural-dance of Jharkhand together.
