On March 4, 2020, Don Bosco Tech Society (Dimapur) Assisi Centre conducted the first Guest lecture for Assistant Beauty Therapist trainees. Mr. Abhishik (Alumni), working as a spa therapist in Aurangabad with Tattva spa was the resource person for the day. He shared his work experience, as experience is the best teacher, just as he began to interact with the trainees. He encouraged the trainees to keep the official time. “Focus on grooming, as you enhance your technical skills,” said Mr. Abhishek. He advised the trainees “to learn to deal with clients, to behave and adapt to the cultures and demands of the workplace and environment.” In a bid to encourage the trainees “to work hard with sheer dedication and full spirit.” He thus encouraged them and said, “Work on your communication skills; speak good English.” He added, “Have patience at the workplace.”

Mr. Abhishek shared an excerpt from his experience that said, “Life is full of ups and downs. I too faced a lot of challenges, as I began my career; a stiff language barrier, dealing with difficult clients, etc. But one must not give up as these traials are stepping stones to success.”

He concluded the session on the importance of improving spoken English and listening skills.
