Online Parents meeting For Automobile Service Technician Batch 1
02 Aug 2020
For Don Bosco Tech Society, the lockdown due to pandemic has not held us back from reaching out to our beneficiaries. The Sreekandapuram center effectively conducted its first parent-teacher meeting virtually for the Automotive Service Technician of Accenture Batch 1, on August 2, 2020, though it was Sunday. The meeting was attended by 18 parents. During the parent-teacher meeting idea of online classes was discussed. Not only that the parents were sought for their suggestions to improve.
The meeting began with a wee prayer to God. It was followed by welcoming the parents by Mrs. Aneeta Demis’ (Trainer, ITEs). The meeting lasted for about two hours before the parents could be proposed the vote of thanks.
The trainers took turns addressing the participants as per their expertise. Mr. Shanoj MJ (Trainer, Automotive Service Technician) briefed the parents about the three-month-training program process. He also highlighted the opportunities ahead. Mrs. Demis addressed the participants about Don Bosco Tech, its structure, and interventions.
Both the speakers spoke well and it was well motivating. Once the briefing was over, the parents were asked to give their views on online classes and suggest if they have any. They seem to be happy about the virtual classes the trainers are carrying out.
Parents were able to understand how helpful the Don Bosco Tech training program for their children. Some of the parents mentioned specifically that the classes on Communicative English and Computers are very helpful, which will go a long way.
It was mind-boggling to hear from the parents that there is a substantial behavioral change in their ward, though the classes are held online.
