Don Bosco Tech centre at Maram was established in 2013with the vision to train marginalized and dropout youth in different vocational trades and equip them to earn a livelihood.
Short term vocational training programs are of three months' duration, in which the students are given technical inputs prepared in consultation with industry experts and professionals. The course includes on-the-job training, assignments and field visits. Valuable life skills are also integrated into the curriculum through an interactive teaching process.
Don Bosco Tech Maram PMKK-Senapati, Manipur, celebrated International Women’s Day, on 08 March 2021 with much activity, learning and sharing. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Jose Centre in charge gave a speech on the auspicious day. He shared the speech of President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Ministered Narendra Modi. He briefed about the origin of International Women’s Day. He mentioned that today’s generation has changed, years back there is not much effort to get people to work but now if not paid well people are not ready to work. It was a moment of great motivation for the parents' who came for the Parent-teacher Meeting-II at Don Bosco Tech Society (Maram) on March 12, 2020. Mr. T. Don Bosco Tech Society (Maram) PMKK Centre organized International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 6, 2020. The celebration centered around the theme ‘An equal world is an Enable World’. Around 25+ female trainees; together with the alumni, attended the program and shared the occasion. Their presence was a symbolic gesture to see how Don Bosco Tech Society has made them self-reliant. Don Bosco Tech Maram PMKK Centre Observed the 10th National Voters' Day on 25th Jan.2020. The National Voters' pledge was led by Fr. Joseph Administrator of Don Bosco College Maram. The District Election department sends two of their representatives Mr. Moses Rong and Mr. Joseph Chawang for the awareness session under the theme 2020 “Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy”. They spoke on the importance of casting votes and the fundamental right to vote for every Indian citizen as they attain the age of 18 years. They shared the significance of National Voters Day.
Either inaugurating a fresh new batch or holding a parent-teacher meeting is for us Don Bosco Tech, not just a formality, but rather an important milestone.
