Don Bosco Tech Maram PMKK Centre Observed the 10th National Voters' Day on 25th Jan.2020.

The National Voters' pledge was led by Fr. Joseph Administrator of Don Bosco College Maram. The District Election department sends two of their representatives Mr. Moses Rong and Mr. Joseph Chawang for the awareness session under the theme 2020 “Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy”. They spoke on the importance of casting votes and the fundamental right to vote for every Indian citizen as they attain the age of 18 years.

They shared the significance of National Voters Day. Mr Moses Rong shared youth plays a vital role in society. Election Commission’s objective is to increase the enrolment of voters. And it encourages the youth of the country to participate in the electoral process but also focuses that the Right to vote is the basic right. And by casting his or her vote during the election, will give them the opportunity to choose his or her leader which helps the progress and development of the country. Mr. Moses and Joseph gave awareness on Dos and Dont's of the electoral process. They urged the candidates to educate others and to become responsible citizens by practising one person one vote.

The centre conducted the quiz and drawing competition too. District Election Department sponsored the prizes for the winners. Mr. Joseph distributed the prizes to both the winning team for quiz and drawing at the end of the program.
