The first combined Placement Orientation class was held on Friday, July 9, 2021. Mr. Anil Kumar (Trainer, Sulthan Bathery) addressed the meeting. The session started at 11:00 a.m. with the prayer song by Mr. Rijo Reji (Trainee, Don Bosco Tech Punalur).

The centers play a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every student to be placed in top organizations. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that building competencies are pivotal for young talents to enhance their employability skills and achieve a good career path. Mr. Joshy T Joseph (Associate Chief Manager, Godrej Appliances), Mr. Lukman K. H (Team leader & HR, ABC Customer Service, Kochi), Mr. Roufal T. K (HR Generalist, Chicking, Ernakulam), Mr. Arun K. J (Entrepreneur and Alumni, Don Bosco Tech, Sulthan Bathery), the State Team Members Mr. Juby Thomas (State Coordinator), Mr. Digit Jose (State Finance Coordinator), Mrs. Anila Samson (State MIS Coordinator), 16 trainers, and 130 trainees participated in this session.

Mr. Sunil Paul M. P (Trainer, Sulthan Bathery) welcomed all the participants joining the session. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Thomas and also shared valuable thoughts.

The program was held in three successive sessions from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The first session started with an Employer talk, Mr. Joseph. He delivered a talk on Skilled Manpower. He highlighted the importance of the skill development of students.

The next session was started by Mr. Lukman. He talked about the importance of On Job Training (OJT) and the difference between theory class and practical knowledge at the time of training. He also presented the support of the students and Don Bosco Tech Society.

Another session was started by Mr. Roufal. He talked about his organization and the career growth of students.

The next session was started by Mr. Arun, who shared his experience and talked about the personality development and skills of students.

The speakers created awareness among the trainees about how to perform well in an organization.

Then Ms. Smitha R R (Trainer, Kollam), conducted an activity on ‘Digital Employment Network’. Her session gave the necessary guideline for students, to create a profile on LinkedIn and also helped the students to create their professional identity.

The Next session was a video presentation of success stories nurtured at different centers of Don Bosco Tech Kerala. These were Mr. Arun (Alumnus, Sreekandapuram) working in Qatar, Miss. Abitha (Alumnus, Kollam) working at Techno Park as Customer Service Associate, Mr. Sudheesh (Alumnus, Punalur), Mr. Sudheesh S (Alumnus, Punalur), Mr. Sandeep Kumar (Alumnus, Punalur), working in Dubai, Mr. Muneer N (Akumnus, Punalur) working in Bangalore and Miss. Sruthi (Alumnus, Arthunkal) employer of ICICI Bank shared their experiences. The Session was very useful and inspirational for the students helping them dream big.

Mr. Saji Thomas (Trainer, Arthunkal) proposed the vote of thanks and the program came to an end by singing the National Anthem.
