Meeting trainees' parents virtually

Don Bosco Tech Society, Arthunkal has proven that, yes, parents' teacher meetings (PTM) can be held even online. It held this meeting on July 29, 2020, where both parties discussed the ongoing online classes where classroom-based delivery is not possible. In all 16 parents attended the meeting.
This meeting was held for two current batches i.e. CRM-Non Voice and Data Entry Operator. The meeting began as per the schedule at 11:00 am via Google Meet. The meeting was hosted by Mrs. Neethu CV (Trainer, IT & Computer), where most of the parents joined in the meet by 11:00 am or so.
As the meeting kick-started Mr. Jomon (Trainer, IT & Computer) in the introductory session explained about the courses & took them though the Don Bosco Tech Society’s genesis to what it is today. Job placement is one of the biggest concerns of most of the parent. Hence, there was a briefing on the same. The doubts related to placement were also clarified during the session. There seem to be a lagging of an adequate number of participants for the classes. Therefore, the trainer exhorted the parents to encourage their children to be regular.
Thus, the (PTM) input session was over except to sought their feedback and suggestions. During the interaction with the parents, they assured their full support to the trainers by asking their children to be regular for the classes.
It was around 11:45 am when the Kerala state team (Mr. Juby Thomas, State Coordinator, Mr. Dgit, State Finance, and Mrs. Anila, State MIS) also joined in the meeting, spending a few minutes interacting with the parents.
The whole program was concluded when Mr. Sebastian (Trainer, Domestic Data Entry Operator)concluded the meeting.
