On 04 July 2026, Hotel Management (Food & Beverage) students and faculty members visited Yaksha Holiday Home, Siliguri, for an industrial visit aimed at providing practical exposure to the hospitality industry and enhancing students' professional skills through experiential learning.
On the same day, Ms. Shrijana Kumai, a Mental Health Expert, conducted an interactive awareness session on mental health. Through engaging stress-relief activities, she encouraged students to manage stress effectively and maintain emotional well-being.
During the visit, the students also received hands-on training in coffee preparation (Coffee Barista). They learned the basic techniques of preparing coffee, including the use of coffee-making equipment, beverage preparation, and presentation. The practical demonstration helped students to understand the standards and practices followed in the hospitality industry.
The students also had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Romden (placement Head of West Bengal), who shared his valuable industry experience and insights into the hospitality sector. He motivated the students by emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, and customer service in building a successful career in the industry.
