World Students’ Day Celebrated at Don Bosco Tech (Amravati)
15 Oct 2019
Don Bosco Tech (Amravati) celebrated World Students’ Day on October 15, 2019, which is the auspicious occasion of the 88th birthday anniversary Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. In 2010, the United Nation declared as World Students’ Day on his birth anniversary because Dr. Kalam was a dedicated teacher and identified himself foremost in that role before anything else.
On this special day, the center celebrated it in a different way by organizing poster competition for trainees. Trainees’ participation was very good, and they responded very positively to it. Some wrote the quotes and some drew the pictures of Dr. Abdul Kalam. They enjoyed and acquired lots of knowledge about Abdul Kalam and his achievements.
After the competition, Mr. Abhishek John Wankhade (Trainer, Support Domain) addressed the students and shared his thoughts about Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He said, “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was a real youth icon for all the youth over the world and a real inspiration for all of us.”
Ms. Neha (Trainee, Assistant Electrician) gave brief information about the awards and the work Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam had done for the country as well as for the world. The program wrapped up with a vote of thanks by the trainee to the trainers for organizing such a nice celebration followed by singing the National Anthem.
