Batch Induction at Kurseong center

Don Bosco Tech, Kurseong center held an induction program for the newcomer, for the batches of 5&6 to orient, to understand, and to accept the training and placement process of the organization. This was held from November 1-7, 2019. There was an orientation on knowing Don Bosco as an organization, Don Bosco Tech’s mission, and vision, it’s training and placement process, etc.
Spearheading the program Ms. Arpana Lama (Center Coordinator) briefed the trainees about the various aspects of the seven-day-induction program.
Each day began with an assembly. It was followed by a recap of the previous day. Then the first session always began with some activities. This would follow with well-prepared informative sessions, lunch breaks, tea breaks, and some activities to break the monotony.
One of the sessions the trainers conducted was on ‘problem-solving’. Based on this topic each trainee was asked to identify a problem, write it down and make a pair of two and discuss.
The subsequent session would begin with an activity, followed by an informative session. As per the schedule Ms. Upasana (Trainer, C&E), highlighted the sole objective of the induction program, such as creating a friendly environment, assisting trainees to realize their potential, and enhancing the relationships. She then conducted some ice-breaking games and activities that would help them refreshed. During the program some activities and creatives were conducted, which aimed at improving their skills besides technical know-how but which is rewarding in their life. Each day the trainers would describe the subject-specific.
The seven-day-induction program went as per the plan. The trainees enjoyed throughout the program with the substantial lesson learned.
