On March 13, 2020, 15 of our trainees from Don Bosco Tech Society (Khorhatoli, Kokar, Ranchi) pursuing a course on Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (ISMO), Accenture Phase-10, B4, visited Hesal Textile (Khelgaon, Ranchi, Jharkhand). They were assisted by Ms. Manju Devi (Trainer, ISMO). The visit was organized from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The visit to Hesal was effective for the trainees who witnessed the reality of working in an industry. Mr. Imtizar Khan (Tailor) and Mr. Maxim (Master Tailor) showed their workplaces, machines, materials used for the garments. They explained the nature of work, i.e. manufacturing, stitching and exporting the garments. Mr. Imtizar Khan demonstrated the trainees at least to stitch the button in a shirt. He also stitched a skirt using a Single Needle Machine in a short period. He showed the Kansai Special Multi-Needle Machine, Kaaj Button Machine, Pipe Fit up Machine, Over Lock Machine, Chain Stitch Machine, etc. He too demonstrated how to stitch the Japanese chain in a blouse.
Mr. Maxim cut the cloths in bulk, more than 500 pieces in 8 inches amazingly. The trainees became awestruck to have seen all these sophisticated machines for the first time.
Trainees Dolly Munda and Eliciya Kujur shared their experience of the visit said, “It was inspiring and motivating for the trainees who are aspiring to build their carrier in this industry soon.” They got the ideas of “Varied types of responsibilities being shouldered by the staff in the company.” They added, “The trainees observed the level of discipline a machine operator maintains to toil hard to strick the given deadline. Many were inspired through this visit to work earnestly and thus support their family members.”
