Online Webinar on How to mobilize during lockdown
02 Sep 2020
Discover the dynamic world of NGO mobilization during lockdown with HSBC Skills for Life's captivating online seminar, hosted in collaboration with Swadesh Foundation on September 2, 2020. Delving into the critical theme of "Market Scan and Mobilization," this virtual gathering was a beacon of enlightenment for numerous NGOs navigating the challenges of the pandemic era.
Graciously invited by HSBC Skills for Life, Don Bosco Tech Society seized the opportunity to gain profound insights into the grassroots challenges confronting NGOs during these unprecedented times. Among the myriad issues discussed, the spotlight shone brightly on the intricate matter of mobilization. Drawing from their rich experiences, Anudip Foundation and Pratham Education Foundation illuminated the virtual stage, sharing their remarkable journeys of adaptation and success.
Ms. Monisha of Anudip Foundation recounted the pre-lockdown era, where traditional methods like door-to-door canvassing and referrals ensured a robust 92% mobilization rate. However, with the advent of lockdowns, these conventional mechanisms faltered, necessitating a swift pivot to virtual mobilization. Remarkably, despite the odds, they achieved an impressive 88% mobilization through this innovative approach.
Echoing this sentiment, Ms. Medha Uniyal from Pratham Foundation highlighted their triumph in transitioning to virtual mobilization. Fortuitously armed with a vast database amassed during lockdown initiatives such as dry ration distribution, they adeptly leveraged technology to connect with and mobilize their target audience with unprecedented success.
The seminar's enriching discourse extended beyond presentations, as participants engaged in a vibrant exchange of ideas during the interactive Q&A session. Organizers diligently addressed queries, fostering a collaborative atmosphere ripe with learning opportunities.
Looking ahead, participants were tantalized with the promise of two upcoming sessions on September 9, 2020, and September 19, 2020, focusing on "Effective Ways of Training and Placement." These sessions are poised to unravel further insights and strategies essential for navigating the evolving landscape of NGO work in the digital age.
Mark your calendars and embark on a journey of discovery and empowerment with HSBC Skills for Life – where knowledge transcends boundaries, and innovation knows no limits.
