The Kuarmunda Center recently hosted its inaugural Guest Lecturer Session on November 8, 2023, focusing on the pivotal role of Food & Beverage Service Associates. Mr. Pratyush Ranjan Das, the esteemed F&B Manager from Hotel Tridev, Rourkela, graced the occasion as the guest lecturer. The session revolved around the theme "Types of Food and Beverage Service in the Hotel Industry," commencing with a warm welcome address by the domain trainer, Mr. Ram Narayan Mishra.
Mr. Pratyush passionately highlighted the burgeoning landscape of the hotel industry and shed light on the promising future for aspiring professionals within this sector. Emphasizing the significance of grooming and hygiene, he eloquently delineated the multifaceted aspects of the food and beverage service department. This encompassed a spectrum of topics, including the art of guest welcome, diverse restaurant service types, table setups, and the myriad uses of various linens in this domain.
Delving deeper, Mr. Pratyush expounded upon the diverse services prevalent in the industry. He elucidated on table service, encompassing fine dining, casual dining, and buffet service, tailored to meet the distinct expectations and ambiance of different establishments. The discourse on buffet service highlighted its self-service nature, offering guests an array of choices typically found in breakfast settings or special events.
The discourse extended to room service, acknowledging the escalating demand for personalized experiences. Mr. Pratyush underscored the seamless coordination required between kitchen and room service staff to ensure prompt and high-quality delivery to guests within the comfort of their rooms.
