Don Bosco Tech Kuarmunda organized a guest sermon class for the Food & Beverage Service Associate Job role, Batch – 3, as part of the RHI project. The event, held on March 13, 2024, aimed to familiarize trainees with their future job description and equip them with essential skills for their professional journey. We were honored to host Mr. S.M. Khan, the Operation Manager of NIT Guest House, who graciously shared his extensive expertise with our freshers.

Mr. Khan's session primarily focused on the significance of customer interaction and its direct impact on business outcomes. He highlighted the importance of mastering front office, reception, and cafeteria duties, emphasizing the role of conversational skills in these areas. Additionally, he encouraged trainees to view their colleagues as sources of learning, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Throughout the session, Mr. Khan demonstrated various Food & Beverage (F&B) service skills, offering practical insights and sharing anecdotes from his professional journey. He also provided tips on maintaining discipline in the workplace, which resonated well with the trainees. Their active participation and enthusiasm were met with appreciation from Mr. Khan, who commended their behavior, discipline, and curiosity.

We extend our gratitude to Mr. Khan for graciously accepting our invitation to be a guest lecturer and for generously sharing his wealth of experiences with our trainees. His insights proved to be immensely beneficial, providing invaluable guidance and inspiration for our aspiring Food & Beverage Service Associates. We also express our appreciation for DB Tech's efforts in facilitating placements for trainees post-training.

In conclusion, the guest sermon class proved to be a valuable learning experience, thanks to Mr. Khan's expertise and the active participation of our trainees. We look forward to more such enriching sessions in the future.
