Pre Independence Day Celebration

A Pre-Independence Day Celebration was organized at BIDS Centre, Nongshilliang, Nongthymmai, with the active participation of the trainees. The programme was conducted to create awareness and enthusiasm among the trainees about the significance of Independence Day and to encourage their creativity and sense of patriotism. A guest lecture on HIV/AIDS was organised on the 13th August 2026 at BIDS Centre . The main purpose of the programme was to create awareness among students about HIV/AIDS, its transmission, prevention, treatment, and the importance of counselling. The resource person for the programme was Miss Christy Najiar, a counsellor working at Ganesh Das Hospital, Shillong. Don Bosco Tech Society organised a Certification Day Celebration at the Bosco Integrated Development Society (BIDS) Hall on 29 July 2026 to honour students from the BIDS Centre and Mawkasiang Centre who successfully completed Housekeeping Hospitality training and secured placements in reputed five-star hotels across India. As we celebrate the occasion of World Youth Skills Day on the 15th July 2026, today the 14th July a slogan-writing competition was organized for students to encourage creativity, teamwork, and awareness of the importance of developing skills for the future. A total of 24 students participated in the event. They were divided into 6 groups, with 4 students in each group.
