Don Bosco Tech Haridwar organized an exposure visit to Hotel Radisson Blu for F&B Steward Domain trainees on June 1, 2022. All the trainees were accompanied by the trainer to the Radisson Blu. At the hotel, they were welcomed by Mrs. Harender (HR, Radisson Blu). He introduced the trainees to General Manager and was coordinating hotel staff for an exposure visit.
At first, the coordinating staff took the trainees to reception and highlighted the work performed by the front desk office like check-in, check out, maintaining the GRC register, payment procedure, room tariff, and room categories. After that, he took the trainees to the Food and Beverage department, where staff members shared about their work and different types of food and beverage items including other important things like restaurant operation related, table service, table setup, food and beverage order taking process and services procedure, restaurant equipment, and defining the menu.After that, he took the trainees to the banquet hall, where he explained about different types of banquet hall setup and buffet setup. After that, trainees were taken to the Coffee shop which is operational 24x7. The staff of the coffee shop told the trainees about different types of coffee. In the end, trainees were taken to the housekeeping department where trainees were made aware of the cleaning process, room amenities, bathroom amenities, bed making, and cleaning process.
After visiting every important section of the hotel, trainees expressed their gratitude to the hotel staff and General Manager for allowing them to experience a hotel environment. Trainees were very happy with this exposure visit as they learned a lot and saw things in reality that they used to study in textbooks and they are looking forward to working in the hotel industry soon.
