On January 6th, 2025, we gathered to celebrate a landmark event—the heartfelt farewell of the first CCE batch of 2024-25 at DBTech Yadgir. It was a truly remarkable day that not only marked the end of an academic journey but also the beginning of new adventures and aspirations for the students.
The program, which began at 2 PM, was expertly anchored by Mr. Mallikarjun Kurkondi, the mobilizer from DBTech Yadgir, who skillfully set the tone for the occasion. The day commenced with a beautiful and emotional prayer song, performed by the CRM students, setting a reflective mood for the gathering.
Mr. Sharanappa, the coordinator of the Don Bosco Social Centre, welcomed everyone with a moving speech. He emphasized the importance of growth—both personal and communal—and encouraged the students to carry forward the values instilled at dbTech into their futures. This was symbolized by our traditional ritual of pouring water onto plants, a powerful gesture signifying nurturing and the blossoming of new opportunities.
The presence of esteemed guests added weight to the event. Fr. Saji George, the Rector and Manager of Don Bosco Yadgir, presided as the President of the event, while Fr. Shabu Francis, Director of dbTech and the Don Bosco Centre for Social Actions, shared an inspiring inaugural speech. Fr. Shabu’s words focused on the bright potential that each of the students holds and encouraged them to face the future with confidence and determination. Fr. Saji George’s brief address also offered guidance, reinforcing the importance of staying grounded and motivated.
A particularly touching moment came when 8 students from the CCE batch shared their personal stories, reflecting on the profound impact their time at dbTech Yadgir had on their lives. They spoke passionately about the growth they had experienced, expressing deep gratitude to their trainers and the management for their unwavering support and dedication. The room was filled with emotion as their stories captured the essence of what dbTech Yadgir stands for—empowering individuals through education and personal development.
The cultural showcase was a highlight, with the DDEO batch students impressing everyone with their vibrant talents. Not to be outdone, the CCE batch also took the stage, adding their own creative flair to the celebration, showcasing the skills they had honed over the course of their time at dbTech.
In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude, the CCE batch students donated sports equipment, including bats and balls, to the dbTech community. This thoughtful contribution reflected the spirit of camaraderie and appreciation that had developed over the course of their journey together. Further symbolizing their gratitude, the students presented a framed photograph, a representation of the bonds they had formed, and honored the dbTech staff with garlands and traditional shawls—an expression of deep respect for those who had guided them throughout their journey.
The program concluded at 4:30 PM with a spirited group dance, bringing together staff and students in a collective celebration of joy, unity, and shared achievement. It was a fitting end to a day full of gratitude, reflection, and inspiration.
This event was not just a farewell, but a testament to the transformative power of education and community. It highlighted the growth, learning, and unbreakable bonds formed during the CCE batch's time at dbTech Yadgir. As we move forward, let’s continue to support and inspire one another, ensuring that the values of kindness, dedication, and service continue to shape the future of every student who walks through our doors.
Here’s to new beginnings and the endless possibilities ahead!
