Motivating the youth to obtain skill and improve their livelihood

Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) organized Kaushal Mela (a part of mobilization under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna) on June 15, 2019. The Chief Guests of the event were Fr. Rajesh Xalxo (Principal, Don Bosco Yuva Kendra) and Fr. Puneet Kujur (Centre In-Charge, Don Bosco Tech). Representatives from National Office, Mr. Arif Ahmad (Regional Manager, Don Bosco Tech) and Mr. Nitesh Janardan (Coordinator, Delhi), who were accompanied by the representative of Magic Bus Foundation. The event was hosted by Mr. Vinay Khalkho (ITES Trainer, Don Bosco Tech, Najafgarh), who gave a brief insight about Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) and introduced all the domains at Najafgarh center.
The event started with a welcome speech by Mr. Vinay Khalkho and the guests were facilitated by the trainees of Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) followed by lighting of the lamp where the participating guests lit up the lamp to inaugurate the event. A short speech was delivered by Fr. Rajesh who gave an inspiring talk on talent and skills.
The event had a gathering of about prospective students and total of 60 candidates registered themselves for the training. The basic idea behind the event was to spread awareness about Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) centre in Najafgarh and its contribution towards Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna through skilling.
The event was well portrayed and was defined in such a manner that maximum number of students got to know about the courses offered at Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) and were encouraged to enroll for their desired domains.
At the end, Ms. Pooja delivered vote of thanks to the audience and the honorable guests and the event ended with refreshments for the guests where students of Food and Beverages also took active participation to serve the refreshments to the guest over a meeting with the staff of Don Bosco Tech.
Meanwhile the prospective students got a chance to interact with all the domains for counselling and enrolled themselves for the courses.
Overall the event went well and the students were also satisfied with the sessions we organized for them.
