'Kaushal Yuva Samvaad' organized in PMKK centre at Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh)

World Youth Skills day is celebrated each year on 15th July to recognize and promote skills and talent at a global level. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in association with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is asked to organize 'Kaushal Yuva Samvaad' in PMKK Centre on this occasion of World Youth Skills Day. The objective is to create an open dialogue with the youth to hear their ideas and recommendations to the skill training programs. The team of 20 young participants have discussed on potential issues, challenges and solutions related to the skill training and other aspects.
Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) organized and event on the occasion of ‘The World Youth Skill Day’ for all the trainees of the center on July 9, 2019. The event involved the debate session where trainees were asked to debate on ‘Youth Empowerment’. Overall, 20 Trainees from different skill sectors (Tourism & Hospitality, ITES, Green Energy, Apparel & Textile and Beauty & Wellness) participated in the debate.
The event and debate session was hosted by Mr. Maish Mauriya (CRM Trainer) who started the event by welcoming Fr. Puneet Kujure, SDB (Centre In-Charge, Don Bosco Tech, Najafgarh), who spoke about the ‘Youth of our Nation today’ and ‘Youth Empowerment’. He also shared a case study of a youth for inspiring and motivating the trainees.
Following the guidelines of PMKVY events and to spread awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna(PMKVY) with a vision of skilling India. The event was streamed live on Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/
Candidates participating showed interest and enthusiasm in the debate. Every Trainee was given chance to share their views on ‘how a youth could make difference in the society’. One of the trainee also shared about feeling independent and self-confident by participating in the debate.
The event also included some small ice breaking sessions and was concluded by distribution of snacks to all the participating trainees and a group photograph in the end.
Keeping alive the spark of skilling India and motivating the youth to get educated for a change, Don Bosco Tech (Najafgarh) hosted another event filled with colors on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day on July 15, 2019. Participating in the event were prospective students who seek education for a better future.
Total of 100 Trainees participated in the event organized on World Youth Skill Day (July 15, 2019). A drawing competition on Save Water/Planet and World Day Skill was organized for the trainees and refreshments were served. All the Trainees participated with great zeal.
