Guest Lecture held for SMO Domain, Ratlam Center

In a student’s life, what they remember is the events. To make it a memorable and learning experience Don Bosco Tech, Ratlam had organized a round of guest lectures for the Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) on November 4, 2019. The invited resource person was Ms. Seema Sharma (Entrepreneur) who briefed the trainees on right from how to assemble the machine to delivery.
The resource person with an experience of 20 years in this field gave a practical knowledge of using the sewing machine & to assemble its parts. She demonstrated how to measure a person, cut various types of clothes like a lady’s suit, lehenga, blouse, etc. This was all about the practical demonstration.
In life, we need to know what we are doing, how we are doing, and where we are going. This will make much sense and bring meaning to life. Keeping in mind the resource person explained the need, scope, service, and promotion in this field. In addition to that, she explained how to use the sewing machine safely and how to build a career in tailoring.
It is said that a person who knows not only to drive but also to repair, is a good driver. Like manner, to bring light to the students’ life she explained the machine parts and how to adjust it according to clothes that need to be sewn.
Being an entrepreneur, she is of the view that many more people like them must come forward to set-up their own business. Thus creating job opportunities. As a result, India’s unemployment can be minimized. This way, not only will bring money but joy and satisfaction in helping others.
The trainees learned a lot from the session. They asked a lot of questions during the question and answer session. The resource person answered them tactfully.
Finally, before ending the session, one of the trainees thanked Ms. Sharma for sharing her thoughts.
