Don Bosco Tech Society established its center in Janbazpora, Baramulla, in Oct 2017 with the first batch starting on August 8, 2018, has enrolled 51 trainees, in Trainee Associate, Food & Beverages service-Steward with ITEeS and Soft Skills training under the Project, Himayat (DDU-GKY).

Short term vocational training programs are of three months' duration, in which the students are given technical inputs prepared in consultation with industry experts and professionals. The course includes on-the-job training, assignments and field visits. Valuable life skills are also integrated into the curriculum through an interactive teaching process.

TREES: An indispensable part of LIFE

To commemorate ‘World Water Day,’ Don Bosco Tech Society, Janbazpora organized a plantation drive in its premises on March 22, 2021. The Center’s staff, trainees, and the other officials were also part of the drive. The motive of the program was to send out ‘Where there are trees, there will be water; where there is water, there will be life, message to the society. The center team at Don Bosco Tech (Janbazpora) celebrated World Youth Skills Day on July 15, 2019. The aim of this celebration was to advocate for skills as an important factor to improve young people’s transitions to decent work and to highlight the crucial role of skilled youth in addressing today’s most challenging global issues. Involving parents in the skilling process Jun 13,2019

On 13th June, 2019, a parents’ meet was conducted by Don Bosco Tech – Janbazpora (Jammu & Kashmir). The meeting was organized in effect to the attendance shortage observed after Eid. All four functioning domains saw the leniency on part of the candidates with respect to the training and attendance. Due to this, all candidates were asked to make the presence of their parents’ mandatory, which in turn would qualify for the seriousness of the candidate.
