Genesis

An academic school with ICSE board was started on 15th January 1973. As there was practically no facility for education in the tea garden area so Savio Youth Center was begun in 1979 as a boarding for poor boys. The children also used to attend the night school of Don Bosco. Continuing with the vision of Don Bosco, Don Bosco Tech initiated its first step at Siliguri from June 2010 to provide jobs to the under privileged youths of the Hilly region. Short Term

Short term vocational training programs are of three months' duration, in which the students are given technical inputs prepared in consultation with industry experts and professionals. The course includes on-the-job training, assignments and field visits. Valuable life skills are also integrated into the curriculum through an interactive teaching process.

To give trainees an edge over other institutes, the trainers of the Don Bosco Tech Siliguri center accompanied its hospitality students to Hotel Saffron, based in the heart of the Siliguri city. The celebration of Gandhi Jayanti is on the 2nd of October every year in the remembrance of our beloved ‘’ Bapu Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’’ or as we lovingly call him Father of the Nation. This year it was remarked as his 152nd Birth anniversary. Therefore, Don Bosco Tech Siliguri recalled his struggles for getting us free India and pay our heartfelt tribute to him.
