Short Term

Short term vocational training programs are of three months' duration, in which the students are given technical inputs prepared in consultation with industry experts and professionals. The course includes on-the-job training, assignments and field visits. Valuable life skills are also integrated into the curriculum through an interactive teaching process.

Don Bosco Tech Society, Latabari center celebrated the Constitution Day with great pomp on November 26, 20200 in the presence of Fr. Pritam Bara (The Parish Priest, St. Ambrose Church, Kalchini) was the key spokesperson of the day. The day was observed by taking an oath to abide by the constitution, speech delivered by different individuals. Fr. Batches seven and eight were officially inaugurated on January 28, 2020, in the presence of Mr. Romden Luckson (Cluster Coordinator) was also the chief guest of the occasion. For the occasion of the inaugural function, the theme was ‘Folk Culture’. The organizers selected different cultural dances; Panjabi, Gujarati, and Rajasthani, and gave practice to the participants. Training along with the exposure visits are a complete training module for Don Bosco Tech Society. With this view in mind, Ms. Poonam Rana (Trainer, GDA) arranged to visit Mitra Nursing Home at Siliguri on December 14, 2019. It was a very enriching experience as the trainees had the first-hand experience of serving the patients. An exposure visit to Maa Greenery Resort was thrilling for the trainees of the Don Bosco Tech Society (Latabari). The trip was made on December 14, 2019, accompanied by Mr. Pravin Thapa (Trainer, F&B). The trip was easily arranged with the help of the alumni who are presently working there as a Steward. The pre-Christmas celebration was held at Don Bosco Tech Society, Latabari on December 21, 2019, four days before Christmas. Coming together, sharing the joy was a very special experience.
