Don Bosco Tech Society Receives Prestigious Mahatma Award for Social Good and Impact

We are delighted to announce that Don Bosco Tech Society, has been awarded the prestigious Mahatma Award for Social Good and Impact. This award recognizes our efforts to promote social justice and create a better world for all through education and skill development. We are honored to be among the 107 recipients of this award out of 2100 applications across various categories.
The Mahatma Award is a global recognition of excellence in social impact, named after the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It celebrates the individuals and organizations who have dedicated themselves to serving humanity and advancing the common good. The award transcends the barriers of race, religion, occupation, position, and gender, and embraces the diversity and universality of its mission.
This award is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of Don Bosco Tech Society and its network of TVET centers. It validates our achievements and motivates us to continue our mission with more passion and dedication. We are grateful to the entire Don Bosco Tech community, our partners, our supporters and the dedicated staff who have made this possible.
The award ceremony was held at the Indian International Center in New Delhi on September 30, 2023. It was a grand occasion attended by eminent personalities from various sectors. Fr. George Mathew, the Executive Director and Fr.Joseph Manipadatth the Rector of the SPCI House along with members from the national team, received the award on behalf of Don Bosco Tech Society and all affiliated centers.
As we celebrate this honor, we reaffirm our commitment to driving positive change in society through education, skill development, and sustainable practices. The Mahatma Award reminds us that our journey is not over yet, and there is still much work to be done. Don Bosco Tech Society, together with all Don Bosco TVET centers, remains steadfast in its mission to empower the marginalized, foster education, and build a more equitable and sustainable world. Together, we have trained and skilled more than 450,000 youth, and we are eager to continue our journey towards a brighter future for all.
