A guest lecture was conducted at Siliguri Centre, on 30th June 2026. The guest speaker, Ms. Juliya Chettri, is an ex-student and proud alumna of DB Tech Siliguri. She shared her inspiring journey from being a student at the institute to completing a one-year internship at Taj Rishikesh. She is currently working as an Associate at The Leela, Gandhinagar.

During the session, Ms. Chettri spoke about the realities of working in the hospitality industry and highlighted the importance of discipline, professionalism, teamwork, communication skills, and maintaining a positive attitude in the workplace. She also explained the expectations of employers, the challenges faced during internships, and the opportunities for career growth in the hospitality sector.

She encouraged the students to stay committed to their learning, make the best use of their internship opportunities, and continuously improve their technical and interpersonal skills. The interactive session allowed students to ask questions about internships, career progression, and workplace experiences, which Ms. Chettri answered with practical examples from her own professional journey.

The lecture was highly informative, motivating, and beneficial for all the students. It provided them with valuable industry insights and inspired them to prepare themselves for successful careers in the hospitality sector.
