March 8, is dedicated to International Women’s Day (IWD), the day reminds all of us of women’s success and to respect their struggle towards achieving a greater height. To show solidarity to these women Don Bosco Tech Society (Maligaon) celebrated with great pomp on March 8, 2020, in Don Bosco Technical School (Maligaon).

The event took place in the presence of Fr. Bhaskar Raj Chintamalla (Rector) who addressed the gathering said, “There should be a balance between career and family. Without its support, a woman can’t achieve success.” He turned to the girls saying “Should know your rights. Learn to guard yourself.” 

Ms. Shabnam Yasmin (Trainer, IT) shared her tales of struggle and success said, “Gender equality is the stepping stone to success and if one needs to live in a healthy society.” She added, “The safety measures a family can provide through airing basic information to the girl child in a family.” Education is the most powerful weapon that can dispel the darkness of the mind. Hence, this means will further result in the overall development of the community and as a whole of the nation.

The curtain was brought down with a speech by Mr. Bruno Marshal (Trainer) who in a few words expressed his joy and thanked the organizers for hosting such a wonderful event. It was followed by chocolate distribution to everyone.
