Genesis

Brothers Association for Solidarity and Empowerment Society [BASE] is a non-Governmental and not for profit organization registered under art.21 of Societies Registration Act 1860 of Government of India. It is one of the progressing and grassroot level organizations initiated by the Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. BASE is a society initiated by Brothers to serve the people of Bihar in the year 2013. The Society primarily work for the upliftment of Mahadalit and marginalized people in and around Biharsharif, Nalanda District. Creating dignified employment opportunity to the unemployed and unskilled youths, empowering women for their social upliftment and ensuring education possible to every child whatever maybe the condition of their families are the main thrust areas of our organization. To address the issues that are impediments to reach out these thrust areas, BASE evolves with different short-term and long-term programs to ensure the realization of these thrust areas.

Short term vocational training programs are of three months' duration, in which the students are given technical inputs prepared in consultation with industry experts and professionals. The course includes on-the-job training, assignments and field visits. Valuable life skills are also integrated into the curriculum through an interactive teaching process.
