On July 15, 2021, the Don Bosco Tech Society Janbazpora, Baramulla, Centre marked the significance of World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) through a virtual celebration on Zoom, adapting to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. This event served as a testament to the unwavering commitment of both trainers and trainees towards skill development, despite the constraints of the times.

The essence of WYSD, revolving around the pivotal role of skills in facilitating the transition of young individuals into meaningful employment, was eloquently conveyed by the Centre Coordinator, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Dar, in his opening speech. He underscored the criticality of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in honing competencies, while highlighting Don Bosco Tech Society's integral role in empowering Indian youth through training in various sectors such as hospitality, CRM, ITES, soft skills, and retail.

Throughout the program, trainees took the stage to share their insights and experiences on diverse topics, ranging from the transformative power of skill education to the importance of self-sufficiency and time management. They also delved into the significance of basic communication skills and the evolving role of computers in today's world.

The event transcended mere speeches, with trainees showcasing their creativity through videos and artwork. These expressions of gratitude not only celebrated the milestone achievement of skilling 4 lakh youth but also exemplified the profound impact of Don Bosco Tech Society in shaping the lives of individuals.

Ultimately, the success of the event lay in the collective participation of both trainees and trainers, reaffirming their shared dedication towards skill development and youth empowerment.
