On December 3rd, 2019, the eager Food & Beverage Service trainees from Don Bosco Tech (Auxilium Promotional Center, Barasat) embarked on an enlightening journey at The Circle Club, a distinguished lounge and club nestled in the heart of Kolkata, West Bengal. This immersive exposure was meticulously organized for the aspiring talents of Accenture Phase 10 Batch 1, totaling 24 enthusiastic candidates.
The ambiance at The Circle Club was nothing short of enchanting, offering a myriad of amenities including hotel rooms, a bar, restaurant, lounge, and even a refreshing swimming pool that beckoned visitors of all ages during the balmy summers. With air-conditioned Squash Courts and the inviting Pipers Pub, the club provided a haven for relaxation and recreation.
Guiding the trainees through this labyrinth of hospitality excellence was Mr. Sabyasachi, the Operation Manager, whose interactive session illuminated the fusion of theoretical knowledge with practical application. F&B Service Trainer Arup Das added his expertise, ensuring the trainees grasped every nuance of the industry, from table setup intricacies to the finesse of kitchen apparatus handling. Amidst demonstrations of bed making and banquet hall setup, the trainees absorbed invaluable insights, poised to navigate the complexities of their future careers with finesse.
Beyond the technical aspects, the executive authorities of The Circle Club demonstrated unwavering support for the skilling program of DB TECH, generously endorsed by Accenture. The symbiotic relationship between academia and industry was palpable, with efforts aimed at nurturing and retaining talent yielding promising results. Notably, former students from Auxilium Promotional Center, now integral members of The Circle Club, graciously shared their professional journeys, serving as beacons of inspiration for the present batch of trainees.
As the day unfolded, the trainees were not merely passive observers but active participants in an odyssey of learning and growth. Their journey at The Circle Club was not just a glimpse into the hospitality industry; it was a transformative experience, replete with invaluable lessons, camaraderie, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
