Guest Lecture by DB Tech Ex Students

Knowledge sharing is an activity through which knowledge is exchanged among people, friends, families, communities etc. One’s knowledge gives another an opportunity to experience the same.

We called our ex – students: Babli Biswas, Sumanta Saha, Prasenjit Biswas to share their experience with the students on 3rd Nov, 2018. They are working in Times club and Anamthara Resort as a steward and chef.

After getting familiar with the students, the guests explained their journey from Don Bosco Tech to Hotel industry. Their confidence and smiling face expressed their job satisfaction and happiness. They discussed the 5 key points of hotel industry and its importance - Grooming, Hardwork, Patience, Smile and Respect. They also mentioned the problems they faced in hotels especially food and duty hours and how they managed all the things.

The students dis interact asking about good platforms to build career successfully - hotel or restaurant. They did revert saying that a degree in hotel management prepares students for a number of career options in the food and travel industries.

Students were happy and satisfied and a glimpse of flicker was seen in every student’s eyes when Sr. Sherley told the guests are ex Don BoscoTech’s students. Sr. Sherley expressed that calling her own students as a guest lecturer will give present students more confidence and positivity.

The Guests (ex students) thanked Don BoscoTech, Sr. Sherley and trainers to help them to make their dreams come true.
