On August 13th, 2020, amidst the backdrop of a world reshaped by the pandemic, Don Bosco Barasat embarked on a pioneering journey, blending tradition with innovation to host its inaugural program. In the virtual embrace of our online classroom and the physical sanctity of the Don Bosco Barasat center, a convergence of minds and spirits unfolded.

Guided by the steady hands of Sister Sherley, Superior Sister Stella, and Sister Mary, alongside esteemed guests Mr. Indranil Dutta, the West Bengal State Operation Coordinator, and Mr. Augustin Tesra, the West Bengal MIS Coordinator, the stage was set for a remarkable celebration.

Before the digital curtain rose, anticipation crackled in the air as students and teachers alike eagerly contributed their best efforts. The diligent hands of individuals like Mr. Arup Das, the F&B Service Trainer, adorned the premises with care, infusing the space with a sense of occasion.

As the clock struck 10:30 am, a soulful prayer echoed through screens and halls, invoking blessings for the journey ahead. Traditional rituals followed, with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the reverent garlanding of St. Don Bosco's portrait, symbolizing our commitment to his timeless ideals.

The program unfolded like a tapestry of talent, with students showcasing their diverse extracurricular skills against the backdrop of a virtual stage. Despite the challenges of coordinating performances via video call, their dedication shone through, earning accolades from both Don Bosco dignitaries and Sisters alike.

With St. Don Bosco's birthday looming on the horizon, Sister Sherley and Mr. Souvik Mitra, the Communication Trainer, took the opportunity to illuminate the legacy of our patron saint, weaving his teachings seamlessly into our collective mission and vision.

Guest speakers lent their expertise, with Mr. Indranil Dutta elucidating the benefits of our courses in laying a strong foundation for the future. Mr. Arup Das then painted a vivid picture of the myriad job roles and opportunities awaiting our students, inspiring hope and ambition.

Despite inevitable imperfections, the day surpassed expectations, serving as a beacon of resilience and progress. Each flaw merely a stepping stone on the path to greater achievements, encapsulating the essence of the Inauguration Day—a testament to our unwavering determination to surmount obstacles and emerge stronger than before.
