Strengthening Cybersecurity Awareness: Insights from Don Bosco Tech's Cybercrime Lecture

The cybersecurity and cybercrime lecture organized by the Center Team at Don Bosco Tech, Bohri Centre, on February 28, 2024, provided B9, B10, and B11 students with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles and practical strategies for online protection. Led by Mr. Puneet Singh Jamwal, Trainer, and Ms. Sunakshi Balgotra, Centre Coordinator, the session covered essential topics including common cyber threats such as malware, phishing, and password attacks. Emphasis was placed on cultivating strong passwords, staying updated with software patches, adopting safe browsing habits, and configuring social media privacy settings.
The lecture also underscored the significance of responsible digital citizenship, encompassing discussions on cyberbullying, managing one's digital footprint, and its broader societal impact. Students were encouraged to remain vigilant about evolving cybersecurity trends and were provided with resources for reporting cyber incidents.
