As part of the practical learning and industry exposure component of the Multi Skill Technician training program, an industrial visit was organized to Computer Review, operating under Natarajan Education Society (GTT). The objective of this visit was to provide trainees with real-time exposure to industrial work environments and help them understand the practical applications of the concepts covered during classroom training.
During the visit, trainees were introduced to various electronics and electrical systems used in industrial and service sectors. They gained exposure to electronic components and their functions, with special emphasis on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) components and their practical applications. The trainees also observed control panels used in electric autos and e-rickshaws (totos), which helped them understand electrical system operations and component integration. In addition, they were guided through wiring diagrams and basic troubleshooting concepts, enabling them to connect theoretical knowledge with actual field practices.
The visit provided valuable insight into the functioning of electrical and electronic systems and enhanced the trainees’ understanding of system integration, maintenance practices, and fault diagnosis techniques. Observing workplace processes directly helped develop their technical confidence and improved their awareness of industry standards and operational procedures.
Apart from technical learning, trainees were also exposed to customer service practices, workplace discipline, entrepreneurship concepts, and day-to-day business operations. These interactions highlighted the importance of communication, professionalism, and service orientation in the technical field. Such exposure aligns with ACLP guidelines and contributes to the holistic development and employability enhancement of the trainees.
Overall, the industrial visit to Computer Review under Natarajan Education Society (GTT) proved to be highly beneficial and enriching for the Multi Skill Technician trainees. It offered meaningful industry exposure, strengthened practical understanding, and supported the development of both technical and professional competencies necessary for future employment opportunities.
