The IT–Customer Care Executive Batch-1 trainees of Don Bosco Tech Society – Cox Colony Centre visited V2 Store, Kali Mandir Road, Badheimunda, Jharsuguda, on 8th July 2026. The purpose of the visit was to provide practical exposure to customer service operations and help trainees understand how customer care is managed in a retail environment.
The trainees were welcomed by Mr. Biswa Ranjan Biswal, Store Manager, who introduced them to the store's operations and explained the importance of providing quality customer service. He shared how every customer is greeted, assisted in selecting products, and supported throughout the shopping experience.
During the visit, the trainees observed how customer enquiries, complaints, and product-related questions are handled in a professional and friendly manner. They also learned about billing procedures, product display, stock management, and teamwork among store staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Mr. Biswal explained the importance of effective communication, active listening, patience, and a positive attitude while dealing with customers. He emphasized that understanding customer needs and providing timely assistance are essential for building customer satisfaction and trust.
The trainees also learned about maintaining customer records, protecting customer information, and following workplace rules related to data privacy and confidentiality. The session helped them understand the importance of professionalism and ethical behaviour in customer service.
Throughout the visit, the trainees interacted with the store staff and asked questions about daily responsibilities, career opportunities, and the skills required to work in the customer service industry. These interactions helped them connect their classroom learning with real workplace practices.
Overall, the exposure visit was informative and beneficial. It enhanced the trainees' understanding of customer service, improved their confidence, and provided practical knowledge of retail operations. The visit motivated them to strengthen both their technical and communication skills, preparing them for successful careers as IT Customer Care Executives.
