Drug De-addiction Awareness Programme and Art Exhibition

Don Bosco Tech Society, Manikandam, Tiruchirappalli, organized a Drug De-addiction Awareness Programme and Art Exhibition on 25 June 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. John Tharman SDB, Director, Don Bosco (Jananam). The programme witnessed the participation of 59 students, including 27 AI Data Quality Analyst students and 32 Web Developer students. The event commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Rev. Fr. John Barnabas SDB, President, Don Bosco Alaigal Media. Rev. Fr. Prof. Francis Jayapathy, Founder-Director, Aruppe Health Centre, Tiruchirappalli, delivered the Presidential Address and inaugurated the Art Exhibition, while Mr. Tamilarasan, Artist and Founder of Eeranilam, delivered the Special Address. A powerful mime performance by the DB Tech students highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction and promoted messages of prevention, rehabilitation, and hope. The programme also featured an inspiring musical performance by Mr. Ramakrishnan, Web Developer student, and an art exhibition showcasing creative works on drug awareness, healthy living, and responsible citizenship. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr. Jayaraj L, Staff, Don Bosco Alaigal Media, followed by the National Anthem, inspiring participants to promote healthy lifestyles and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
