Phase11-B3 Guest Lecture in Dialysis technician

To stipulate additional awareness about the dialysis domain trainees, Don Bosco Tech Guntur, Andhra Pradesh team has conducted a guest lecture at the centre level on 8th January 2021.
Rev. Sr. Glady Msc Nursing was invited as a guest for the dialysis trainees, she addressed herself to the trainees, and started the lecture about the briefing of the importance of each organ in the human body. Likewise, she explained the important role of the Kidney. She just touched the intramural methods of a kidney.
She spoke about the importance of the Kidney and its components in the human body. She also briefed about the important rules and responsibilities of a Dialysis Technician by sharing a Powe point presentation.
Some of the roles and responsibilities of a dialysis technician are as follows:
The maintenance of dialysis equipment
The pair of dialysis equipment
The processing of the dialyzer
Prepping the patient for the dialysis treatment process Sanitizing and cleaning the machine if the dialysis treatment has taken place.
Sanitizing and cleaning the surrounding area of the machine before the dialysis treatment can take place so that the patient does not get infected.
Monitoring the water treatment of kidneys.
Then, she moved on to the topic of Biomedical management where she explained the importance of biomedical waste management in the Dialysis laboratory and segregation of the waste in the laboratory. The role of dialysis technicians and arrangement of the colour coding bins and Safe disposal of chemical waste was also explained by Rev. Sr. Glady.
It was a very practical session by the video projecting of watering the infected kidneys to the students, they were really glad to be a part of this session. It was useful for them to propose their complete learnt knowledge at their dialysis laboratory.
At the end of the session, Rev.Sr. Glady, motivated the trainees to be good and careful to handle the dialysis patients, and she explained the techniques to prepare the patients to support them to have good health by conducting procedures according to the kidney's several issues. Trainees were really affected by the session and felt happy to experience wisdom like this. The session was concluded at 2.30 PM.
