Field Visit to Hotel Venkatesh Grand for Hospitality Trainees to Contrive Practical Knowledge

Don Bosco Tech - JMJSSS Nallapadu conducted an exposure visit for Hospitality trainees to Hotel Venkatesh Grand on November 11, 2019. The main purpose of conducting field visits for the trainees was to contrive practical knowledge and come by virtual awareness of the working field.
Mr.K.Eswar (Restaurant Manager, Hotel Venkatesh Grand) welcomed the trainees and instructed the trainees about the field visit itinerary. He explained about the various services provided in the Hotel by showing how to serve the guest. The visit continued by showing all the departments and sections placed there at Hotel including Kitchen, the production department. He also explained the trainees' work responsibilities during their Training period at Hotel and also told the Trainees about the importance of learning different languages to handle the Guests in Food & Beverage Sections.
He took the trainees to the service department and explained the types of Services in Restaurants such as ‘House Keeping’, ‘Table Settings’ & ‘Banquet Hall, etc. He also explained the behavioral skills of a trainee at the hotel like how to receive the guest and how to behave with the guests and how to face the Guest complaints by showing practically with the help of Steward at Hotel.
The Manager also explained the interaction between customers and employees. Employees have to give importance to the customers and also need to explain about the Items politely. The employee must have knowledge of housekeeping and table settings. He said that " The customer satisfaction is very important in every aspect and need to provide good service to them to grow the rating of Restaurant".
The manager was very happy with Don Bosco Tech trainees for their knowledge and interest in observing all the things in the service department. He also appreciated Don Bosco Tech Society for proving these kinds of training free of cost to help the needy. He promised that "He will provide good placements to our trainees at their reputed restaurant. Hence our trainees were very happy and had a Group Photo at the end of the exposure visit.”
