TOT and Batch Review for Don Bosco Tech Society Dimapur Province

A Training of Trainers (TOT) cum Review Meeting for the trainers of Dimapur Province was organized by the state team of Don Bosco Tech Society, Dimapur Province from the 21st of July 2022 to the 23rd of July 2022 at Don Bosco College Golaghat, Assam.
Br. Sunny Joseph (Province Coordinator of Don Bosco Tech, Dimapur Province), Mr. Kishor Das (Regional Manager of North East), Mr. Amos Ekka (Coordinator of Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Province), Madam Esther L (MIS of Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Province), Madam Anita Kapuh (Placement Coordinator of Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Province), were the resource person for the TOT cum Review Meeting. The total number of Trainers present at the meeting was 6. The guest at the meeting was Dr. Fr. Policarp Xaxlo (Principal of Don Bosco College Golaghat & Centre In Charge of Don Bosco Tech Golaght).
The TOT program was for two days, and sessions were explained in practicals too.
The main key points explained at the meeting were-
- Explanation-Future of Skill &development and about Don Bosco Tech
- Introduction of the process cycle, standards model of DB Tech, Project deliverables: Learning outcome understanding the project documents and mandates, following the guidelines as per timeline, Few Mandatory formats of the Province.
- Importance of NSQF, QP, NOSs & Model curriculum in the Skill ecosystem
- Assessment criteria, procedure, and certification-Learning outcome
- Different types of assessment and processes marking criteria
- MIS- Learning outcome-Knowledge of process on BOONFACE and its data management.
- Center registration and trainer’s linking on SIP
- Placement process and its documentation and tracking-learning outcome: pre and post-placement, challenges and solutions, pre-departure orientation (PDOT)
- HR, Orientation on complete employee life cycle including policies and process involved
- Finance Learning outcome
- Communication
- Recommendation and challenges of BOONFACE
- Feedback and way Forward Assessment for all participants (Conclusion
On the third day of TOT, a Review Meeting was conducted and both the centers presented PPTs about the center’s target, achievements, and plans. It was a great platform for learning for all the attendees. The Trainers and the state team interacted with each other over challenges and issues faced and brought out solutions towards every point discussed. During the discussion, the team also stressed the way forward for the skilling of young people both in academic institutions and for short-term training in the province. And to bring self-employed women groups together for cluster formation to further linkage with banks, Government departments, and NABARD for assistance. Batch Action Plan and Monthly Action Plan are to be followed by the trainers of Don Bosco Tech Dimapur Province.
