Mr. Santosh Gohain an inhabitant of Doigrung and an expert who was doing poultry farming for the last six years was invited for the guest lecture. He was introduced to the trainees and was welcome by the trainees of B5 with a round of applause.

At first, he started saying small-scale poultry farmers are one of the groups available to raise food sources for their locality and various occasions like weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. He also mentioned that poultry is complex and challenging for individuals who participate in all aspects of the supply chain, from producers to sellers. He also made trainees feel relaxed by telling the benefits of poultry and that it has many uses for human beings; for instance, poultry provides food, income, and employment.

Mr. Gohain also explained to the trainees about the advantages of chicken farming that it requires Less capital required, No need for a Big Space, High returns in a short period, High maintenance is not required, a License is not compulsory, and Huge global demand, Easy Marketing, Income & Employment Opportunities.

He also said that it is possible to lose an entire batch of chicks with poultry disease which is why we should vaccinate the chicks from time to time and take various necessary precautions. The lecture on poultry farming was beautifully described by Mr. Gohain and it was great learning for the trainees.
