The Don Bosco Technical School in Shillong hosted a landmark event on July 31, 2024, marking the first parents meeting for Batch 02 of the Housekeeping Job Role under the prestigious Skills Meghalaya initiative. The gathering was a beacon of promise and excitement, setting the stage for transformative journeys ahead.

The meeting commenced with an engaging introductory briefing by Sir Wallam, who illuminated the vision and mission of the project provided by the Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS). He passionately elaborated on how the meticulously crafted training program is designed to arm trainees with not only essential housekeeping skills but also the confidence to excel in future interviews. Highlighting a world of opportunities, Sir Wallam shared that job placements would predominantly be outside the state of Meghalaya, offering trainees a chance to immerse themselves in diverse cultures, broaden their horizons, and forge new connections. These one-year placements will be diligently monitored by trainers, ensuring that students consistently uphold the esteemed standards of the Don Bosco Tech Society.

Adding to the fervor, Miss Dawiat Rynjah, the esteemed Domain Trainer, addressed the parents and trainees with equal enthusiasm. She vividly described the welcoming hostel arrangements at the Nirmali Society of Christ Jesus in Mawkasiang, where the students will reside. She emphasized the importance of adhering to the center's rules and regulations and passionately appealed to parents to support their children in embracing this challenging yet rewarding opportunity.
