On the 31st of July 2024, an engaging and insightful parents meeting for the Housekeeping Trainee Batch 2 was held at Don Bosco Technical School Laitumkhrah. Organized by the Don Bosco Tech Society Shillong Center under the 'Skills Meghalaya Project' 2024-2025, this event offered a comprehensive overview of the exciting journey ahead for the trainees.
The meeting kicked off with an inspiring briefing by Sir Wallam, who passionately explained the vision and objectives of the project sanctioned by MSSDS. He detailed the intensive training program designed to instill confidence in trainees, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future interviews. He also highlighted the thrilling job placement opportunities awaiting them, which, although primarily outside the state of Meghalaya, promise rich experiences. Trainees will have the chance to learn more, immerse themselves in diverse cultures, and build new relationships. This one-year placement will be meticulously monitored by the trainers, ensuring the trainees are well-supported as they embark on this exciting journey under the DBTS banner.
Following this, Miss Dawiat Rynjah, the dedicated Domain Trainer, provided an insightful glimpse into the living arrangements at the Nirmali Society of Christ Jesus in Mawkasiang. She outlined the rules and regulations that will guide the trainees' stay, emphasizing the importance of discipline and community living. Miss Rynjah encouraged parents to nurture their children's resolve and support them in embracing this transformative challenge.
