On January 8, 2025, Don Bosco Professional Academy, in collaboration with several government schools and the energetic DB Tech students, hosted a powerful awareness program aimed at addressing the critical issue of child labor. Organized by the Don Bosco Salesian Society in Hospet, the event brought together a distinguished group of figures, including the District Collector, judges, and local police representatives. With media coverage ensuring a far-reaching impact, the event became more than just an occasion—it was a collective journey toward change.
The day’s atmosphere was vibrant with creativity and passion as students from Don Bosco Tech’s Domestic Data Entry Operator and Customer Care Executive courses participated in a dynamic tableau and skit contest, both designed to challenge perceptions about child labor. Their performances captured the essence of the issue through poignant, thought-provoking messages. The tableaus, filled with vivid imagery, and the skits, brimming with emotion, were not only captivating but stirred a sense of urgency and responsibility in everyone present.
As the event unfolded, it became clear that this was a day for learning, reflection, and action. The students' performances were a testament to the power of art in social change. Every tableau and skit highlighted not just the devastating reality of child labor, but also the hope for a future where every child can dream, learn, and grow free from exploitation. Through these creative expressions, the audience was reminded that every effort counts—whether it’s raising awareness, supporting education, or standing up against injustice.
Beyond the performances, the event was a stirring reminder of the collective power we all possess. The collaboration of government officials, educators, students, and community members showcased how strong partnerships can drive meaningful change. Their unified approach to tackling child labor illustrated the difference that comes from working together with a shared purpose. This convergence of hearts and minds gave rise to a palpable sense of empowerment—showing that a community, when united, has the potential to alter the course of the future.
The event was more than just an awareness campaign—it was a memorable and transformative experience that sparked deep reflection and a renewed commitment to the cause. It emphasized that the battle against child labor is ongoing, and everyone’s contribution matters. As the day came to a close, there was an overwhelming sense of hope, creativity, and the belief that, together, we can create a world where no child is deprived of their right to a safe and fulfilling childhood.
