On 5th November 2025, Don Bosco Tech, Hospet conducted an impactful session under the Life Management Skillsmodule, featuring two experiential activities — Group Goal and Hockey Balloon. These activities were thoughtfully designed to cultivate focus, concentration, and teamwork among the trainees and were facilitated by the dedicated trainers of Don Bosco Tech under the guidance and encouragement of the Center Head. The event beautifully reflected the Salesian spirit of joyful education rooted in the teachings of St. John Bosco.

The overarching objective of these activities was to instill essential life skills such as leadership, coordination, problem-solving, communication, and sustained concentration, while fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.

The first activity, the Group Goal game, involved dividing the students into small groups and assigning them a shared task that required unity, strategic communication, and collective effort to accomplish within a time frame. This experience profoundly emphasized the power of collective focus and the strength that comes from working harmoniously toward a common goal.

The second activity, the Hockey Balloon game, brought a playful yet challenging twist. Participants were tasked with moving balloons without letting them fall or drift away — an exercise that engaged their concentration, patience, and hand–eye coordination. The trainees displayed tremendous enthusiasm and alertness, demonstrating how focus and teamwork play a vital role not only in games but also in real-life situations demanding discipline and precision.

Staying true to Don Bosco’s belief — “Run, jump, play, but do not sin” — the event merged learning with recreation in a truly Salesian fashion. The joy-filled exercises were not merely games but meaningful tools for fostering personal growth, friendship, and reflection. The trainees walked away not only entertained but enriched, having understood that teamwork, concentration, and a cheerful spirit form the core of both play and purpose-driven living.

This session stood out as a fine example of how Don Bosco Tech continues to nurture youth through holistic education, combining skill development with character formation.
