On December 16th, 2021, Guntur Don Bosco Tech Center, with support from Accenture and local monitoring by the sisters of JMJ Social Service Society, organized an Awareness Program on Prevention of HIV/AIDS. The event aimed to educate attendees about the realities of HIV/AIDS and promote proactive measures for prevention and treatment.

Mr. Balaraju, the Don Bosco E-Commerce Executive Trainer, and Mrs. A. Saraswathi Devi, CE & IT Trainer, initiated the session by outlining its objectives, particularly focusing on the importance of engaging parents online.

Mrs. Deepthi Gaur, in her welcome speech, delivered a comprehensive lecture to the students, employing a PowerPoint presentation to illustrate key points. Through discussions and visual aids like jingles and photographs, she addressed misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS, fostering a deeper understanding among the audience.

During the interactive segment, students actively participated, seeking clarification on various misconceptions, which Mrs. Deepthi adeptly addressed. The session concluded with her emphasizing the importance of continued awareness and proactive measures.

HIV/AIDS, a virus that compromises the immune system, can manifest with a range of symptoms, including fever, weight loss, and swollen lymph nodes. Transmission primarily occurs through infected bodily fluids, with preventive measures such as condom use, testing, and counseling crucial for mitigating risks.

Treatment, consisting of antiretroviral drugs, can effectively manage HIV/AIDS, suppressing viral replication and bolstering the immune system's ability to combat infections and diseases. Through education and proactive measures, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of transmission and ensure effective management of HIV/AIDS.
