Self Introduction Competition
27 Sep 2025
On 26th September 2025, Don Bosco Tech Hall came alive with enthusiasm and energy as students gathered for the much-anticipated Self-Introduction Competition, organized by Don Bosco Tech Monsada. The event aimed to provide students with a platform to enhance their communication skills, develop self-confidence, and learn the art of presenting themselves effectively before an audience. With 50 participants, the program proved to be both inspiring and enriching for all involved.
The competition commenced with a warm welcome to the students, judges, and trainers, followed by a brief overview of the event's objectives. One by one, students took to the stage to introduce themselves, sharing details about their background, interests, strengths, and aspirations within the stipulated time. Each introduction was a unique reflection of the participant’s personality, and the audience was treated to a spectrum of styles—from poised and confident speakers to creative and expressive presenters.
A panel of judges carefully evaluated each performance based on clarity, confidence, fluency, body language, and overall presentation. The high level of enthusiasm and dedication displayed by all participants made the session lively and engaging. While some students impressed with their composure and articulate delivery, others captured attention with innovative ways of presenting their personal stories, ensuring that no two introductions were alike.
After all participants had presented, the judges deliberated to select the top three performers. The competition not only created a sense of healthy rivalry but also encouraged all students to strive for continuous improvement in their communication abilities.
The concluding session was marked by an inspiring address from Communication Trainer Mr. Prokash Halder. He praised the efforts of all participants and highlighted that true success lies not in winning alone but in overcoming hesitation, cultivating self-confidence, and embracing the courage to speak publicly. His words resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression on the students.
Following the motivational speech, Centre Coordinator Mr. Provakar Majumder announced the winners amid enthusiastic applause. The first, second, and third prize winners were recognized for their exceptional performances, while every participant received appreciation for their commitment and hard work. The event concluded on a high note with collective encouragement and a spirit of camaraderie.
The Self-Introduction Competition was more than just a contest; it was a meaningful journey of self-expression and personal growth. By providing students with an opportunity to showcase their individuality and strengthen their communication skills, the event underscored the importance of confidence and eloquence in personal and professional life. For the 50 participants, the experience was both motivating and transformative—a testament to the power of giving young minds a platform to shine.
