Joy filled the air on October 1, 2019, with the arrival of batch7 and 8 of the 7th year of Don Bosco Tech’s free skill training at Monsada, West Bengal. In all 60 plus students were incepted for the training in various trades.

The program kick-started with the gathering of students in the auditorium, who were then welcomed by both trainees, and trainers. The inauguration program started by singing the National Anthem, followed by welcoming the Chief Guest with a bouquet.

Mr. Subhankar (Centre Coordinator) introduced the trainers to the trainees along with Fr. Johny (Center in charge). Post the introduction, a brainstorming session was conducted and the importance of the training course at Monsada center was explained.

Keeping the tradition one of the trainees was invited to light the lamp along with the center in charge. He was, thereby, invited to begin the function with a welcome note. He welcomed the students and asked to introspect themselves on the reason and importance of taking admission in Don Bosco Tech. He also emphasized on setting a goal & work towards it. Fr. Johny explained the importance of virtues; punctuality & discipline and assured them that the trainers at Don Bosco Tech will ensure you get all the required training. However, he said, “You have to equally push for more which will help you in your future.”

Thereafter, Mr. Subhankar explained the Rules and Regulations of Don Bosco Tech to the students. The students were very happy about the whole program and said that they will give their best, learning those that will help build their career. He also about the electrical course to all the students who have enrolled for it and it was followed by a session by Mr. Biplab (Trainer, F&B Service Steward) about the F&B Service Steward course. Training in Computer and English language was well explained by Mr. Prokash (Trainer, C&E).

After all these, the function was concluded with the induction by the newcomers.
